Orlando, FL (Dec. 7, 2023) – License Global, the licensing industry’s thought leader, has recognized two Falcon’s Beyond executive leaders on its The Influentials 2023 list for their remarkable work in elevating the brand licensing industry.
Falcon’s Beyond Executive Vice President of Global Licensing & Business Development Daryl White was awarded the title of The Innovator for playing a vital role in industry advancements, be it sustainable processes, manufacturing, business standards or product design. White is responsible for actively sourcing licensing opportunities for Falcon’s Beyond and travels the world in pursuit of “what’s next” to create innovative projects.
Humbled by receiving recognition, White says he wants to expand the traditional world of licensing so people can connect with their favorite brands in whatever they do.
“My purpose is to help develop the licensing industry in a way that gives consumers a frictionless and seamless connection with their favorite brands,” said White. “I believe there is a way to approach this that allows brands to work collaboratively and gives fans new discovery opportunities, all while building new interconnected networks that build shareholder value.”
Falcon’s Beyond President Simon Philips was awarded the title of The Expert for his profound contributions to the brand licensing business over his storied career. Philips directs the growth and expansion of Falcon’s Beyond entertainment-based businesses and the development of the company’s IPs. His role includes developing and implementing comprehensive corporate strategies for future growth across all commercial operations of the company and its owned subsidiaries.
Honored to be nominated by his peers, Philips has been in the licensing business for more than 35 years and has worked with some of the most beloved brands in the world, including Disney, Pixar, “Star Wars,” Marvel, “Pokémon,” “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” “Yu-Gi-Oh” and “CoCoMelon.” He feels a tremendous sense of pride when he sees someone enjoy products he had a part in creating.
“One of the most rewarding aspects is when I see someone with a product that I licensed,” said Philips. “This brings home to me how we extend stories and enable fans to own a piece of their favorite IPs.”
