December 18, 2023

What a year! As 2023 wraps up, we’re reflecting on our incredible journey and want to share some of our top moments! To sum up 2023 – it’s been extraordinary and fun to soar to new heights in our company’s history. We welcome you to join us in celebrating the milestones that have defined our success and set the stage for another exciting year ahead.

Falcon’s Goes Public

Falcon’s Beyond achieved a major milestone this year and started a new chapter as a publicly traded company, listed on Nasdaq under the symbol “FBYD”. This was a momentous occasion for Falcon’s Beyond that enables our company to scale globally and continue delivering some of the most innovative entertainment experiences in the world. Our team celebrated by ringing the opening bell at Nasdaq on October 10.

Master Planning for Play

This year, we’ve continued to expand our partnership with Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC) to support several developments underway in Qiddiya City, a one-of-a kind mega entertainment destination centered around the concept of “live play.” Falcon’s Creative Group has been actively working on a variety of Qiddiya-based projects including the Qiddiya Water Theme Park and the world’s first Gaming and Esports district. Qiddiya City will be home to endless fun and excitement for its residents and visitors through unrivaled offerings in entertainment, sports, culture, and urban living. We look forward to sharing more news soon about how we are helping support Qiddiya as well as Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 plan.

Making a “Splash” in China

We announced our joint venture with Raging Power Limited, an arm of K11 Group, and revealed Vquarium™ at 11 SKIES in Hong Kong as our first new attraction experience. Vquarium will be a story-driven interactive adventure that explores oceans and waterways around the globe in a wonder-filled narrative that offers intimate and empowering encounters with virtual sea life to entertain, educate, and inspire.

IP Expander™ in Action

In 2023, Falcon’s launched multiple products and technology platforms, including our very own two-player trading card game, Katmandu: Age of Artifacts™ and a merge-2 puzzle mobile game – Katmandu: EtherMerge™. We also launched our first Roblox experience, BEYONDLAND™, a fan-favorite with nearly 7 million visits, and Shop Falcon’s, an e-commerce website. In addition, we announced our BeyondME™ platform to bring digital and real-world experiences into the metaverse.

And with the opening of Katmandu Park | Punta Cana, several of Falcon’s patented attraction systems made their debut and quickly became guest favorites. These ride systems include our Suspended Theater™ which can be found in the Voyage of the Fathom Wanderer™ as well as our ON!X™ Theater ride system in the Challenge of the Mad Mage™.

Falcon’s Takes Center Stage

We made our presence known with the themed entertainment and tech industries at expos, events, exhibits and more. As a proud Orlando-grown company, we were thrilled to attend and be involved in MetaCenter Global Week, an event that highlighted the best tech in the world alongside the best innovators of Central Florida. Our President Simon Philips took the stage as the opening keynote speaker to discuss blurring lines between physical and digital experiences.

At the Techonomy23 conference, our EVP of Technology Saham Ali and President of Digital Media Jason Ambler spoke about AI in location-based entertainment with their session “Sentient Spaces: Crafting Tailored Worlds in Experiential Entertainment”.

For the 14th consecutive year, we exhibited at the IAAPA Expo. It was extra special for us this year because we brought in our ON!X Theater™ ride system demo for guests to experience the Challenge of the Mad Mage™ and compete for points!

For the second year in a row, Falcon’s Beyond exhibited at the Licensing Expo in Las Vegas. We were thrilled to showcase our various new products there and show how we’re transforming traditional IP deployment channels with our 360-degree IP Expander™ flywheel, simultaneously unleashing the power of physical and digital story immersion.

Falcon’s For the Win

2023 was a banner year when it came to receiving awards recognizing our company, projects, and team members. Here are a few awards we were honored to receive.

Expanding the Flock

In an epic year of growth, Falcon’s Creative Group expanded its international footprint with the opening of a new office in Metro Manila, Philippines. Serving as an extension of our Orlando-based team, we’re thrilled to have our talent worldwide and work with even more illustrators, architectural designers, and modelers, as well as media and interactive gaming designers.

We were also excited to add three key individuals to our executive management team.

Simon Philips joined our team as President and is an accomplished entertainment industry executive known for his visionary approach to brand building and previous work with some of the world’s most iconic franchises – including Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel, CoComelon, Pokémon, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Yu-Gi-Oh.

Toni Caracciolo was named our Executive Vice President of Marketing and Branding and brings many years of theme park and hospitality industry marketing and sales experience to the team. Toni previously oversaw marketing and sales strategic planning, brand management, project implementation and result analysis for Visit Orlando and SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment.

Bruce A. Brown came onboard as our Executive Vice President of Legal, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary. With extensive legal expertise, Bruce has worked with well-known brands such as Hilton Grand Vacations, Darden Restaurants, American Express, General Electric, and Xerox.

Our team is continuing to grow as we head into 2024 with Falcon’s Creative Group holding its largest recruitment effort in our company’s history. Take a look at our open positions!

Falcon’s Giving Time and Talent

Supporting and giving back to our local and global communities is a core pillar of the culture at Falcon’s Beyond. Throughout the year, involvement in group and individual volunteer activities is encouraged with paid time off and organized team events. This year we had several opportunities to volunteer to support incredible organizations, here are a few highlights.

  • Our team packed supply boxes for A Gift for Teaching, an organization that provides free school supplies to the students who need them most. This year we packed supply boxes for more than 200 teachers to distribute, making a positive impact on the education of over 4,000 students.
  • Once again, Falcon’s participated in the IAAPA Footprints From the Heart 5k Run/1 Mile Walk in support of Give Kids The World Village, a nonprofit resort that provides cost-free vacations for children with life-threatening illnesses.
  • Another organization close to our hearts is the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. This year, we held a food donation drive to help support their mission of creating hope and nourishing lives through a powerful hunger relief network.
  • Our Falcon’s Creative Group Philippines office also volunteered with Masaya Homes c/o Virlanie Foundation, a nonprofit organization benefiting disadvantaged children and their families. The Philippines team spent an afternoon mentoring the children and teaching them how to draw.
